  1. When I think of Benediction I find myself humming, 'Tantum Ergo', and, 'O Salutaris'. We used to fight over carrying the 'boat' and, when we were old enough, the Thirabelle (Spl?)

  2. Thank you for your comments, John.

How beautiful that the Tantum Ergo and O Salutaris still revolve in your head whenever Benediction is mentioned.

When you have a little spare time, you must visit Our Lady of the Rosary, Blackfen, on a Thursday evening, 2000 hrs, for Benediction.

I'm sure you will be allowed to carry the "boat" or, maybe, the "thurible".

    in Domino.

  3. I can remember Bexley when it was almost independent of London. Burnt Oak Lane sounds quite dramatic. A long way from Yorkshire ... nevertheless, thank you, most kind.
