"Be It Unto Me," artist Liz Lemon Swindle’s most sought-after edition from
The Greenwich Workshop, was the premiere image in what became a definitive collection
of fine art editions. Her "Son of Man" series documents the human events in Jesus’ life from the story of His Birth, to the Parables and other teaching stories to the Miracle of His Resurrection.
Liz Lemon Swindle sees "Be It Unto Me" as a celebration of Mary as much as Jesus.
“She was about fourteen years old, just a child, when told she would give birth to The Saviour.
But all she said was: "Be It Unto Me" (Luke 1:38). You have to honour that kind of Faith.”
