The Rorate Mass is a Votive Mass In Honour of The Virgin Mary during the Season of Advent.
It has a long Tradition in The Catholic Church, especially in German-speaking areas.
The Mass has to begin relatively early in the morning, when it is still dark, due to Winter-Time, and is Said (or Sung) by Candlelight.

DeleteDelighted you found the Live-Stream info and Site of interest. I regularly “Assist (Virtually)” at the Masses at this most beautiful Basilica. The Liturgy is superb and carried out with the utmost reverence and love of Worshipping Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I do commend all their Masses for your attention, particularly The Missa Cantata on Sundays.
