    Dom Zephyrinus: I assume that if these regiments were "lancers", they were all mounted cavalry? Is that correct?

    Yes, Dante Peregrinus. You are correct.

    Lancer Regiments are/were Mounted Cavalry. They were armed with Lances.

    Today, of course, “Cavalry Regiments” are normally Armoured Units, either using Tanks or Infantry Fighting Vehicles.
