Chauffeur Perkins Gets Carried Away Again With Dreams Of Grandeur !!!

“No, No, No, Perkins”.
“It's the wrong image for Zephyrinus”.
“It's the wrong colour (Autumn Rose)”.
“It's the wrong size for the garage”.
“Take it back !!!”

  1. Too funny for words. Do you know, that my beloved late aunt, Anna Martha Peregrinus, had a 1959 Lincoln Continental four-door hardtop? It was an ivory-white (not “Autumn Rose”) color, with light tan interior, with the classic Lincoln suspension and “glide-ride.” I still remember the fascinating little chime that the turn signal would make. She was the only owner and finally when she was very elderly, she sold it to an over-the-moon-happy collector who has taken it and beautifully maintained it, I understand. (It only had about 60,000 miles on it.)

One must admit that Perkins has good taste, at least in the vehicle if not in the color! -Notes by Dante P

    1. A riveting Comment, Dante P. Thank You very much.

Your dear Late Aunt, Anna Martha Peregrinus (R.I.P.) obviously had excellent taste. No wonder the “over-the-moon-happy collector” was delighted when it was finally sold. Delighted, also, that he has beautifully maintainted it, since.

Reluctantly, I, too, must admit that Perkins has good taste (I say no more than that) in wanting Zephyrinus to acquire such a magnificent automobile, even if it is too big for the garage.

Like you, Dante P, one must question Perkins's choice of colour. “Autumn Rose” !!! Yes, if choosing a Duvet Cover or a subtle Wall-Paper, but on a magnificent beast such as this 1958 Lincoln Continental Mark III Convertible !!!???
