"Vidi Aquam". "I Saw Water".

This Post can be read in its entirety at VICTIMAE PASCHALI LAUDES

"Vidi Aquam".
Available on YouTube at
https://youtu.be/7JN9Sdv_uXQ.

Vidi aquam egredientem de templo,
a latere dextro, alleluia:
et omnes, ad quos pervenit aqua ista,
salvi facti sunt, et dicent, alleluia, alleluia.

Confitemini Domino quoniam bonus:
Quoniam in saeculum misericordia eius.

Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto:
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper,
et in saecula sæculorum.

Amen.

I saw water flowing from the temple,
on the right side, alleluia:
And all to whom that water came
have been saved, and they will say, alleluia.

Worship the Lord, for He is good:
for His mercy is forever.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.

Amen.

Prior to the Main Mass on Sundays, the Asperges Me is normally sung, while the Priest sprinkles Holy Water on the people.

However, during Eastertide, the Asperges Me is replaced and Holy Mother Church gives us the sublime Vidi Aquam.
