A great woman (who'll forget "Whale Meat Again?"). A great compilation you've got together here, Zephyrinus - I enjoyed the music, my hero Winston ... and of course the Battle of Britain sequence.
ReplyDeleteMany of the fighter squadrons continued on well into the C20th. I was lucky enough to spend the last 3 years in the RAF as a 'Seagull' with two famous fighter Squadrons 'Cobra' 92 Squadron (ex Biggin Hill) and 'Dolphin' 19 Squadron. Both flying Phantoms in the Air Defence Role in Germany ... the happiest three years of a 25 year flying career.
Thanks, John. Very pleased that you approve of this Vera Lynn Post. I somehow thought you would.
ReplyDeleteWe are very Blessed in this Country of ours to have such a lovely lady as Vera Lynn. She was as important to getting us through World War II as was "Winnie".
So, are you now "The Phantom Blogger, and Graver, and Shipwright, and Artist " ?
Best Wishes.
Well ..... I've been around a long time and had lots of time to play lots of games!
