21 December: Psalm cvi. 10

O Oriens,
splendor lucis æternæ,
et sol justitiæ;
veni et illumina sedentes in tenebris,
et umbra mortis.

O Dawn of The East,
brightness of The Light Eternal,
and Sun of Justice;
come and enlighten them that sit in darkness,
and in the shadow of death.

Versicle. Rorate.

“Rorate caeli desuper, et nubes pluant justium . . .”

“Ye Heavens, drop down from above,
and let the clouds rain down The Just One”.

    1. Thank You, Dante Peregrinus, for your welcome Comment. Indeed, this is a wonderful rendition by Cantate Regensburg.

      How lucky we are to have the magnificent “Great O Antiphons” as a suitable prelude to the forthcoming Feast of Our Lord. One wonders how many congregations in Novus Ordo Churches will hear these beautiful Antiphons.
