Chauffeur Perkins Wants His Cutlery, Soup Plates, And Pyjamas, To Carry Zephyrinus’s Coat-Of-Arms. And On His Bike !!!

Coat-of-Arms of Zephyrinus.
Motto: “Dextra Cruce Vincit”.
(“The Right-Hand Conquers With The Faith”).

The apocryphal history of Zephyrinus’s forebears is that, in 1066, one of William the Conqueror’s military subordinates took part in The Battle of Hastings, when William defeated King Harold and took the Crown of England.

As a reward for fighting on behalf of King William,
this subordinate was granted a piece of land to the
West of England. In later Centuries, descendants of this subordinate became less militarily inclined and became
more religiously inclined.

Hence, the Latin motto “Dextra Cruce Vincit”,
(“The Right-Hand Conquers With The Faith”).

The Right-Hand, of course, being “The Sword Arm”
and “The Faith” being The Catholic Religion.

Chauffeur Perkins, having recently learned of the above,
is now insisting on having the above Coat-of-Arms
engraved on all his cutlery, on his soup plates, on
his pyjamas, and, also, on his bike.

He wants to “cut a dash” with all the regulars
down at his local hostelry, “The Brown Cow”.
