Somebody once said to Zephyrinus that, if one totalled up all the power, energy, strength, worth, of every battle, war, conflict, in the World from the very first day until now, it still would not even register on what The Divine Mass offers.
The Divine Mass is supernatural. It is beyond the mundanities of the World and its politicians and gurus and spin-doctors.
Fr. Faber indeed had it right when he said of The Mass: “The most beautiful thing this side of Heaven”.
Which begs the question: Why do certain people work unceasingly to alter, change, dumb-down, ruin, it ?
Beautiful. “The most beautiful thing this side of heaven.” (attributed to Fr. Frederick Faber d. 1863)
