From an article on the hymn “Adeste Fideles”, on the excellent Hymnology archive, we find that John Francis Wade (Johannes Franciscus Wade, 1710 – 1786) also wrote a “Domine Salvum Fac”.

This has been scanned from a Jacobite manuscript, and was reproduced in Dom John Stephan, “Adeste Fideles” (1947).
Wonderful, Zephyrinus, to pray for the King and all those in high office (1 Tim. 2:1ff) “ Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” We must never lose hope that rulers and kings, who are inevitably subject to many base powers of this world, may yet with the assistance of our prayers, humble though they may be, rise above and serve Our Lord Jesus Christ. -Comment by Dante P
