Our Lady of Akita (Japanese: 秋田の聖母マリア) is the Catholic Title of The Blessed Virgin Mary, associated with a wooden statue Venerated by faithful Japanese who hold it to be miraculous.
The image is known due to the Marian apparitions reported in 1973 by Sister Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa in the remote area of Yuzawadai, in the outskirts of Akita, Japan.
The messages emphasise Prayer (especially recitation of The Holy Rosary) and Penance, in combination with cryptic visions prophesying sacerdotal persecution and heresy within The Catholic Church.

The Church will be full of those who accept compromises, and the demon will press many Priests and Consecrated Souls to leave the service of The Lord.
The demon will be especially implacable against

Indeed, Perspicacious Zephyrinus, this vignette on the mysterious Marian revelation at Akita. Who could now contest the prophetic message of Our Lady looking back at the past 50 years:

These assertions, unthinkable in 1973, we have subsequently seen remarkably fulfilled in every detail.

DeleteIt behoves the well-known saying: “Let those who have eyes, see; Let those who have ears, hear”.
How very sad that there are so many who do not have eyes, nor ears.
One consoling factor, of course, is that Our Blessed Lady, who prophesied all the things now happening in our World, will stand with Her Son's Church against the machinations of the evil one and his cohorts.
