Zephyrinus (leaning out of the Locomotive's Cab) tries his hand at driving a Steam Locomotive in Hungary. Meanwhile, Chauffeur Perkins (he wanted to come along on the holiday) takes boiling water from the Locomotive's Boiler in preparation for making Zephyrinus's Afternoon Cup of Tea. Two local Railway Workers decided to join in the photograph.

  1. A most dapper and elegant Zephyrinus in his great coat, flanked sphinx-like by his two guardian poodles, preparing to embark (and bark-bark-bark!) on their Danube voyage.

A friend not too long ago took the “Viking” cruise on the Danube (Budapest to Regensburg) and rhapsodized on about the mesmerizingly soaring architecture and historic beauty of Budapest (actually as Zephyrinus knows, two mirror image cities, “Buda” and “Pest”) on opposite banks of the mighty river). Many wonderful churches, palaces, concert halls and of course impressive pipe organs therein.

The poodles will eat well of the outstanding meat fare at the many butcher shops, as well! The restaurant fare is reputedly far better than Paris or Berlin.

Now, if only Professor Moriarty does not crash the cruise party and put Zephyrinus on the trail!

    1. A most welcome and interesting contribution from Our Central European Correspondent, Dante P, for which we are most grateful.

Dante P is obviously well-acquainted with that most beautiful City, Budapest, as, indeed, is Zephyrinus. All the points that Dante P mentions about Budapest are spot on: The architecture; beauty; people; restaurants, etc. And, as mentioned, the impressive Pipe Organs in the outstanding Churches.

One must also say Thank You for the splendid accolades (dapper, elegant, etc). One tries ones best to be well-turned-out.

Zephyrinus also chuckled at the canine quips that Dante P offered, reference the poodles: “Embark and “bark, bark, bark” ”

Most erudite, of course, to be aware of Professor Moriarty's possible intrusions into Zephyrinus's Summer Vacation. Holmes and Watson have been notified and will not be too far away. A watching brief is their instruction. Plus, of course, with Perkins and Jeeves in close quarters, nothing can go wrong. Can it ? Really, it can't. Can it ?

      “The game's afoot !!!”
