No clapping. No guitars. No waving at everybody and their dog. No kissing. No hugging. No birthday announcements and singing of “Happy Birthday” (I kid you not). No swaying. No shaking hands.
One wonders why they bother to turn up to offer Adoration and Worship to God Almighty, when they are so soooooooooooo busy during a Sacred Ceremony doing all the mundane things mentioned above.
God Bless the poor poppits. They think they are soooooooooooooooo with it !!!
“The poor poppets!” Should one chuckle —first inclination—or feel sad for the depth they are “missing out” on?
Did they think this is how S. John and the Blessed Virgin prayed at the House at Ephesus after Our Lord’s Ascension? In the Upper Room with Our Lady and the 12 Apostles awaiting Pentecost? How did Our Lord, when he withdrew from the crowds, to pray in solitude on the mountain? (Matt. 14:23, and many other references as well)
