Palazzo Medici Riccardi is a historic building in the centre of Florence , located in Via Cavour 3. The first Palace owned by the Medici family in Florence, where people such as Cosimo the Elder and Lorenzo the Magnificent lived, it was sold to the Riccardi family in 1659, who enlarged it and lived there for about 150 years.

After various vicissitudes, it became the seat of the Prefecture and the Metropolitan Council.

    Of course that copy cat Italian Cosimo de Medici the Elder got the idea for his Palazzo from Chislehurst. -Note by Dante P

    1. Thank you, Dante P, for your astute observation. We can assure all Readers that Perkins' and Jeeves' close buddies in the building trade carried out the construction of the above in Chislehurst, Kent. In fact, the Department of Excise and Taxation are still looking for them !!!
