“Totus Tuus”, a Latin phrase meaning “Totally Yours,”
was the motto of Pope Saint John Paul II.
Taken from Saint Louis de Montfort’s “True Devotion to Mary”, it signifies our desire to give ourselves entirely
to Jesus Christ through Mary.
It also expresses our effort to give our all
to every young person we encounter.

Long ago as a lad, when it was safe to travel in Mexico, I would go to early morning Mass in a nun's convent: and they would sing after each Mass, very sweetly, the Gregorian motet, "Totus Tuus Sum."
ReplyDelete(Also, the great composer, a favorite of Zephyrinus, Henryk Gorecki, has a setting: Totus Tuus",
Op. 60).
I still hear that sweet song of the
the nuns in my mind's ear even after many decades. (comment by Dante P)
What a most beautiful memory, Dante P.
