That place really epitomized the best of Romanesque architecture and the use of space for liturgy in a non-pontifical setting. A hint for the future generations? We can only hope.

I do agree. Cluny was/is a very special gift to the Church and, one hopes, it will always be there whenever the Church needs strengthening or reinforcements.
