Saint Philip Neri.

The following Text from
Saint Philip Neri noticed one day, to his great sorrow, that someone, straight after receiving The Sacred Host in Holy Communion, went to the door of the Church to leave.
Straight away, the Saint sent two Acolytes with burning Candles to accompany the person.
The person was annoyed by this, and asked the Saint what he meant by it.
Saint Philip replied, kindly: “When the Priest carries The Blessed Sacrament in the Ciborium, he is always flanked by two Acolytes with Candles burning.
“It seems to me that the same honour should be given to someone who carries The Blessed Sacrament in their breast”.
This person immediately acknowledged his fault, and went to kneel down and offer fitting Adoration and Thanksgiving to Jesus Christ.
