Procession and Sung Eucharist

A commemoration of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey. 

The Service begins in Durham Cathedral's Galilee Chapel.
Palm Branches are carried in Procession into the Nave of the Cathedral. 

Sung by Durham Cathedral Choir.
Music includes Vierne's Messe Solennelle and Tantum ergo.

Saint John Passion.

Durham Cathedral Choir joins forces with leading period instrumental group, The Avison Ensemble, for what promises to be a stunning performance of J. S. Bach's famous masterpiece.

Pavlo Beznosiuk leads the Orchestra. The Evangelist is Phil Durrant, Lay-Clerk, Durham Cathedral, with Daniel Cook, Master of The Choristers and Organist, Durham Cathedral, conducting.

Other Soloists are from within The Choir.
